There are so many benefits of exercising, and we all know them. However, it is not easy to motivate ourselves to work out due to thousands of reasons. I have the same problem because I don’t know “What stops me from working out?”. I used to be chubby, so I did not feel confident. Losing weight was my main purpose, so I could be more beautiful. I did it, and I feel more confident now. Now what? I stop from working out because….
I am too busy
You probably do not know about my life, but I am telling you I am super busy. I am busy with working, studying, doing housework, and “enjoy” my life. Playing video games, listening to music, watching TV, and catching up on social media also take a lot of my time. I am super busy! Yes, I repeat I am super busy! Now you see why I do not have time to work out. It may sound funny to you but being busy is one of my best excuses. We are doing things that makes us feel comfortable. Exercising takes a lot of time and effort, so we do not put it as a priority.
Solution:
Since working out is too difficult, do it first. Therefore, my first task of each day is exercising. I do not have to worry about it anymore when I am done.
I do not have any motivation
My friends teased me because I was overweight. People laughed at me because I could not fit in new clothes. I did not like to look at my body in the mirror, so I worked out to have a nicer body. I have it now, and I do not want to exercise anymore. Can you see something wrong here? I care too much about what other people think.
Solution:
My biggest motivation is health. If I work out, I will be physically and mentally healthy. Working out reduces stress and makes me smarter, so I can do better in school and life. I would not mind if you copy this motivation. Whatever it is, please remember working out is for you, not other people.
I do not feel like working out now.
The sentence above is a nice way to say, “I am lazy.” Nobody wants to admit they are lazy, including me, so we just do not feel like it.
Solution:
Just do it then you will feel it. You do not have to do anything too crazy. Just stand up and do 10 pushups or stretch yourself now. Just do it before you continue reading……. Well since you have already stood up, why don’t you work out now? Just 10 minutes and you can do it! I am sure you will feel great after working out because you did what you want to do, and you took care of yourself today.
